China Daily — Skyworth Group has officially acquired Panasonic’s TV sales and operations in Europe and North America (effective April 1, 2026). The deal covers R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and after-sales for Panasonic-branded TVs in those regions, with collaboration on high-end OLED products. Panasonic retains only its domestic Japanese TV business and OLED R&D.


Strategic shift: Skyworth (6th globally, 3.7% share) gains mature Western channels; Panasonic exits loss-making TV markets amid intense competition.
